Yosemite won the last time they faced Sierra and things went their way on Thursday too. The Badgers had just enough and edged out the Chieftains 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Badgers have posted against the Chieftains since September 26, 2022.

Yosemite had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 7-25, 25-17, 25-14, 15-9.

When it comes to explaining why Sierra lost, don't look at Jolee Harshman. Despite the final result, she had 18 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Gibson, who had 21 assists.

Yosemite has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10-1 record this season. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Yosemite is set to take on their familiar foe Caruthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sierra will face off against rival Minarets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
