Flag Football Game Preview: Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions

The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Mountain View Mountain Lions at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Eagle Ridge Academy sitting on five straight victories and Mountain View on ten.

Eagle Ridge Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Thornton with a sharp 26-0 win. Considering the Warriors have won six games by more than 20 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after only 13 points in their last matchup, Mountain View made sure to put some points up on the board against Gateway on Wednesday. The Mountain Lions blew past the Olympians, posting a 53-0 victory. Given the Mountain Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado flag football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Olympians are ranked 70th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mountain View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ellie Roberts, Lydia Okiyama, and Jesika Hopkins picked up one apiece. Okiyama got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win got Eagle Ridge Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
