Basketball Game Preview: Climax-Scotts Panthers vs. Hillsdale Academy Colts

The Climax-Scotts Panthers will face off against the Hillsdale Academy Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Climax-Scotts is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Climax-Scotts will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Colon, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Climax-Scotts strolled past Colon with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-35. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Magi are ranked 547th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hillsdale Academy didn't have too much trouble with Tekonsha on Monday as they won 41-22. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Climax-Scotts' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Hillsdale Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Things could have been worse for Climax-Scotts, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-26 loss to Hillsdale Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Climax-Scotts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
