After a string of five wins, Lexington's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. 2025 welcomed they with an 82-60 loss courtesy of the Sandusky Blue Streaks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Minutemen came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 138th).

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Sandusky, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will venture away from home to take on West Holmes at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandusky, they will head out to face off against Clyde at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
