Volleyball Recap: West Valley's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

West Valley had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Del Sol Dragons by a score of 2-0 on Friday.

Kamryn Hubbell was nothing short of spectacular: she had seven kills and six aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Deonys Ioane, who had four digs, two aces, and one block.

They weren't the only good server: West Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

West Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Del Sol, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

West Valley has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica on the 22nd. As for Del Sol, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Cimarron-Memorial on the 23rd.
