Soccer Recap: Pershing County Takes a Loss

Pershing County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whittell Warriors. Pershing County were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Whittell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Alejandra Pineda and Elizabeth Nava scored both of Pershing County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Pershing County's loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1. As for Whittell, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pershing County will take on rival White Pine at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Whittell is set to face off against their familiar foe Yerington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
