            Utah School for the Deaf & Blind was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They lost  53-27 to the Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind Sentinels. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the  game with a sizable advantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 143rd in Utah, while the Sentinels are ranked 354th in Arizona).
 Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind found their leader in freshman  Irving Arizmendi, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 22 points and nine  boards. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which  Arizmendi has scored at least a third of Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind's points. Another player making a difference was  Zamian Little, who  posted eight  points and three  steals.
Utah School for the Deaf & Blind's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Washington School for the Deaf the next time they take the court. Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind will head out to face Washington School for the Deaf at 2:45  p.m.  on Thursday, while Utah School for the Deaf & Blind will head out to face them  at 1:15  p.m.  on Friday.
