Volleyball Recap: Evant Takes a Loss

Evant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Jonesboro Eagles, falling 3-0. The Elks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-15.

Evant's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Jonesboro, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Evant will face off against rival Oglesby at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jonesboro is set to take on their familiar foe Lometa at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
