Basketball Recap: Maquoketa Comes Up Short

Maquoketa lost against Anamosa back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maquoketa Cardinals fell 68-57 to the Anamosa Raiders. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maquoketa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Anamosa, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Maquoketa and Anamosa could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. Maquoketa (ranked 236th) will meet Cascade (ranked 24th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Anamosa will challenge Monticello at 7:45 p.m. on Friday down 154 places (258 vs. 104).
