Baseball Game Preview: John Paul II Cardinals vs. Bishop Lynch Friars

The John Paul II Cardinals will face off against the Bishop Lynch Friars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Lynch took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on John Paul II, who comes in off a win.

John Paul II took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Legacy Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cardinals have posted since February 7th.

Meanwhile, Bishop Lynch didn't have quite enough to beat Prestonwood Christian on Friday and fell 2-1. The Friars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Paul II is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. Bishop Lynch's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
