Basketball Recap: Fox Tech Comes Up Short

Fox Tech had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 9-17 to make it five. They took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlands Owls. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-13 back in December of 2025.

As for Highlands, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games.

Highlands' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylynn Fematt, who posted eight points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Barron, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 11 points.

Fox Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-50 loss against Burbank on the 3rd. As for Highlands, they have also already played their next contest, a 45-28 win against Lanier on the 3rd.
