Basketball Recap: Liberal Takes a Loss

Liberal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 70-61 to the Dodge City Demons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (59), the Redskins still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Liberal still got an impressive performance from James Fieser, who shot 63% from the field en route to 26 points along with seven boards and three steals. Those 63% shooting accuracy gave Fieser a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eathan Hernandez, who posted 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Liberal's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Dodge City, they moved to 6-14 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Liberal nor Dodge City have any future games scheduled.
