Randleman dropped their record down to 17-5 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Christ the King Crusaders by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 16, 2024.

As for Christ the King, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games.

For Christ the King's part, Owen Shipman made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Shipman also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Christ the King is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Shipman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run.

Shipman wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Troy Alderfer, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Alderfer a new career-high.

As of now, neither Randleman nor Christ the King have any future games scheduled.
