Softball Recap: Hiawatha Comes Up Short

Hiawatha lost to Silver Lake on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Red Hawks came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-1. The matchup marked the Red Hawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hiawatha's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Silver Lake, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Hiawatha will challenge Sabetha at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Silver Lake, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Olathe Northwest on the 17th.
