Basketball Recap: Utopia Comes Up Short

Utopia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 36-21 to the Leakey Eagles. The game was a 9-9 toss-up at halftime, but the Buffaloes couldn't quite close it out.

Utopia's record is now 7-13-1. As for Leakey, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Utopia is taking a road trip to take on Nueces Canyon at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Nueces Canyon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season. Leakey has already played their next contest (against Comstock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
