Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Franklin County's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Batesville Bulldogs on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 30 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Franklin County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kash Marsh, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Batesville, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

While Franklin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
