Baseball Recap: Crest Lancers vs. St. Paul Indians
Crest had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the St. Paul Indians get on the board and left with a 27-0 victory on Monday. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Kade Nilges and Kole Walter were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Nilges pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Walter tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Nilges hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. At bat, Nilges got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Walter scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most RBI Nilges has posted since back in March of 2024.
