Munster entered their tilt with Illiana Christian on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 5-2. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Ally Compton made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Compton wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Addy Biel, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Munster's record now sits at 26-4. As for Illiana Christian, they moved to 18-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Munster has already played their next match, a 6-1 defeat against Lincoln-Way East on the 24th. Illiana Christian has also already played their next contest (against Crown Point), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
