Baseball Recap: North Comes Up Short

North was the 3-2 winner over Perry when they last played one another back in April of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Rangers fell 5-2 to the Pirates on Tuesday. The Rangers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Grinstead, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

North's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Perry, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North will welcome Normandy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry, they will challenge Edgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Pirates' favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while the Warriors have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
