Soccer Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City lost against Sharon back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ashton Morrow and Yusuf Saunders scored both of Grove City's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Grove City has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Sharon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Coming up, Grove City will welcome Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sharon, they will head out to face off against Slippery Rock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
