Softball Recap: Lakeside Panthers vs. Jenkins County War Eagles
Lakeside took care of business in their home opener on Friday (barely). They won by a run and slipped past the Jenkins County War Eagles 2-1.
Ty Smith was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Addison Pierson was another key contributor, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Jenkins County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Lakeside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-1 defeat vs. Swainsboro on the 10th. Jenkins County has also already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Lincoln County on the 9th.
