Soccer Recap: Whittier Takes a Loss

Whittier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Rancho Dons . While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1102nd, while the Dons are ranked 460th).

Whittier's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for El Rancho, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing La Serna the next time they take the pitch. El Rancho will host La Serna at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, while Whittier will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
