Softball Recap: Millard Takes a Loss

Millard had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 11-10 to make it four. They came up short against the South Sevier Rams, falling 7-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 21-11 to the Rams when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for South Sevier, the victory (which was their 22nd in a row) raised their record to 22-1. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For South Sevier's part, Navey Lindsay made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Lindsay has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kinsey Parsons, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.

Coming up, Millard will head out to challenge South Summit at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for South Sevier, they will be playing at home against Beaver at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
