Baseball Recap: Plymouth Triumphs

Plymouth won the last time they faced Wawasee and things went their way on Friday too. The Pilgrims/Rockies came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 10-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pilgrims/Rockies.

Drake Feece was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and four RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Plymouth's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 9-10 when he doesn't). Brodie Crawford also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Plymouth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Plymouth's record is now 13-10. As for Wawasee, they dropped their record down to 0-18 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home.

Looking ahead, Plymouth will host NorthWood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Pilgrims/Rockies' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wawasee, they will head out on the road to square off against West Noble at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chargers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
