Basketball Recap: Father Lopez Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Father Lopez Green Wave came up short against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals and fell 71-62. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Cardinals are ranked 189th).

Father Lopez dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Bishop Snyder, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Father Lopez will be home for the holidays to greet Gateway at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Snyder, they will take on Lowndes in a tournament on Friday.
