Bowie had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Childress on Friday. Everything went the Bowie Jackrabbits' way against the Childress Bobcats as the Bowie Jackrabbits made off with an 11-4 win. Considering the Jackrabbits have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bowie's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Childress, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Bowie will square off against Paradise at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bowie's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Paradise's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Childress, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Childress Bobcats face off against Vernon Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Vernon has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.71 runs per game on average), something Childress will no doubt try to take advantage of.
