Softball Recap: Garber Takes a Loss

Garber fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Frankenmuth on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-7 to the Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Dukes haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ava Wagner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Bowker, who went 1-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Garber's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Frankenmuth, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garber will host Mt. Pleasant at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Frankenmuth, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Yale at 4:00 p.m.
