Baseball Recap: Kindred Wins Going Away Against Oak Grove Lutheran

Kindred had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Oak Grove Lutheran on Friday. The Vikings blew past the Grovers 12-2. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Grovers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Eli Maack tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Kylan Swenson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Baumgarten, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Kindred's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Oak Grove Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
