Stanhope Elmore hadn't done well against Wetumpka recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Stanhope Elmore Mustangs never let the Wetumpka Indians get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won six games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Wetumpka with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jay Myers (3), Reece Davis (3), Tristan Ferguson, and Thomas Richardson.

Stanhope Elmore pushed their record up to 10-3-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those six matchups. As for Wetumpka, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5-1.
