Recap: Perrin-Whitt Pirates vs. Bryson Cowboys
If The Perrin-Whitt Pirates were riding high off their 70-44 takedown of the Gorman Panthers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Perrin-Whitt's tough 44-24 loss to Bryson on Friday might stick with them for a while. Perrin-Whitt lost against Bryson in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 72-46 score last time.
Perrin-Whitt's loss was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-2 Azle Christian and 6-2 Gold-Burg (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64.7% over those games). As for Bryson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Perrin-Whitt will be playing at home against Lingleville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lingleville is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Bryson, they will head out on the road to face off against Gorman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gorman is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
