Juniata Valley is a perfect 8-0 against Moshannon Valley since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Juniata Valley will face off against Moshannon Valley at 4:30 p.m. Juniata Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Juniata Valley took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Mount Union, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Juniata Valley had just enough and edged out Mount Union 4-3 on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Hornets have won by just one run.

Bethany Devore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, Chassity Houck was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Moshannon Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Williamsburg with a sharp 16-5 win on Monday. The Black Knights/Damsels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Moshannon Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Juniata Valley, their record is now 3-1.

Juniata Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Moshannon Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-3. Will Juniata Valley repeat their success, or does Moshannon Valley has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
