Recap: Victoria East Titans vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders
The Victoria East Titans and the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Victoria East Titans had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Raiders on the road and fell 42-7. Victoria East's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Kason Kolle threw for 62 yards on 11 of 19 attempts. On the ground, Jaden Williams rushed for 32 yards.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North found their leader in underclassman Ethan Guerra, who rushed for 280 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Guerra was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Aparicio, who rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown.
Victoria East's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Victoria East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will face off against Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Veterans Memorial's defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's offense will have their work cut out for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North.
