Baseball Recap: Brookville Comes Up Short

Brookville fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Madison on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mohawks. The Blue Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Brookville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Sprada, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Brookville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Madison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Coming up, Brookville will face off against Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Madison will be paying especially close attention to the Blue Devils' match: after the Blue Devils face off against the Hornets, they'll take on Madison again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
