Baseball Recap: Landstown's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Landstown waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Tallwood Lions as they made off with a 21-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

George Chevalier was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kyle Flora was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Jordan Hunt was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Landstown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Landstown's record is now 10-3. As for Tallwood, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
