North Lincoln came out on top against Statesville on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 16-run first inning. The Knights blew past the Greyhounds 19-1. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Brooklyn Mohr made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Brynn Wiscomb was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Gabby Parker, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.
North Lincoln always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
North Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
