Maroa-Forsyth extended their postseason success on Saturday against Flora. They claimed a resounding 48-12 win over the Wolves. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won eight games by 34 points or more so far this season.

Maroa-Forsyth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryne Sheppard led the charge by throwing for 299 yards and five touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 42 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns Sheppard has posted since back in September. Another pass catcher making a difference was Zach Smith, who picked up 147 receiving yards and three scores.

Maroa-Forsyth didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braden Lee and Connor Heneghan.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Maroa-Forsyth, bringing their record up to 10-2. As for Flora, they moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Maroa-Forsyth will take on Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. Flora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
