Basketball Recap: Yukon Skates Past Non Varsity Opponent with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yukon). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Non Varsity Opponent 73-13. The Millers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season.

Yukon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashley Cox, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to five assists and four steals. With that strong performance, Cox is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Pivniska, who went 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Cox wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Yukon was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Yukon's win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Yukon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-37 victory against Woodward on the 13th. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-50 win against Zuni on the 12th.
