Basketball Game Preview: Lake Dallas Falcons vs. Celina Bobcats

The Lake Dallas Falcons will take on the Celina Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Celina is hoping to do what Sanger couldn't on Friday: put an end to Lake Dallas' winning streak, which now stands at five games. Lake Dallas snuck past Sanger with a 65-61 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Falcons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Indians are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Celina's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Panther Creek, falling 83-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bobcats have suffered since February 6, 2024.

Lake Dallas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Celina, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.
