Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Avery Hartig stepped things up a notch to give Sycamore the 'W'. Hartig struck out five batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts.

Hartig's strong effort led Sycamore over Middletown and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
