Football Recap: Buffalo Bison vs. Fairfield Eagles        
        
		
             Buffalo was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  28-24 to the Fairfield Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the  28-24 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  on Friday.
  Cole Davis rushed for 88 yards, and also threw for 119 yards  on 12 of 18 attempts.  
 Donte Lott was his top target, rushing for 89 yards on only ten carries, while also picking up 46 receiving yards.
 A big part of Fairfield's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Kohl Collins and his top target  Kavion Hicks. Collins threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns while  Hicks picked up 178 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Hicks was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 69 yards.  Jaylon Shed helped  Collins out on the ground, picking up 11 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 44 yards.
 Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fairfield, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
 Buffalo will have a little extra prep time after the  loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arp at 7:30  p.m.  on October 4th. As for Fairfield, their road trip will continue as they head out to face McGregor at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Fairfield is facing McGregor at the right time seeing as McGregor is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
