Basketball Recap: Hagerty's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Hagerty had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 40-26 victory over the Evans Trojans on Saturday. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Hagerty found their leader in freshman Sydney Lohman, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Lohman also set a new season-high mark in assists with seven. Shelby Maloney was another key player, putting up six points.

Hagerty's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Evans, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Hagerty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-40 victory against Oviedo on the 9th. As for Evans, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-20 win against Lake Brantley on the 9th.
