Basketball Game Preview: Chaparral Pumas vs. Paloma Valley Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Chaparral Pumas and the Paloma Valley Wildcats will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Wednesday, Chaparral was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-55 to King. While losing is never fun, the Pumas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Wolves are ranked 224th).

Paloma Valley had taken Citrus Hill down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks.

Chaparral now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Paloma Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Everything came up roses for Chaparral against Paloma Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2021, as the team secured a 77-40 win. Will the Pumas repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
