Overbrook had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 5-3 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Clayton Clippers 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Clayton, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Clayton's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Emerle, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Kevin Mosley, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Overbrook will face off against Hammonton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clayton, they will take on Camden County Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Clippers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
