It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cooper City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Fort Lauderdale Flying L. The victory continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Flying L's: they've now won three in a row.

Grace Dominguez spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 16 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rylee Hedden, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marina Recht, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Cooper City's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Fort Lauderdale, their record is now 7-4.

Coming up, Cooper City will be taking part in a tournament against St. Cloud at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Lauderdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boyd Anderson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
