Basketball Game Preview: Hughes BIG RED vs. Badin Rams

The Hughes BIG RED will square off against the Badin Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hughes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Badin likes a good challenge.

Hughes will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Woodward, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Hughes snuck past Woodward with a 73-69 win on Thursday. 73 seems to be a good number for the BIG RED as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Badin was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 38-33 to Chaminade Julienne Catholic.

Hughes' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points over those games. As for Badin, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
