Baseball Recap: Lost River Beats Glendale for Their Third Straight Win

Lost River waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Glendale Pirates as they made off with an 11-1 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kyle Diaz made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Lost River is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise. Diaz was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Lost River got a big performance out of Noah O'Neill, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Beau Sanders, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Lost River's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Glendale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Lost River will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
