Volleyball Recap: Kensie Miner and Aubree Bohannon Secure Win for Glendale

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kickapoo, Glendale was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lebanon Yellowjackets by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Glendale had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18.

Leading Glendale to victory were Aubree Bohannon and Kensie Miner. Bohannon had four aces and three digs, while Miner had 11 digs. Those four aces gave Bohannon a new career-high. Ivy Flinn also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Glendale was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in three consecutive matchups.

Glendale's victory bumped their record up to 15-9-3. As for Lebanon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-18-3.

Looking ahead, Glendale will face off against Nixa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Lebanon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
