Bishop Machebeuf had lost five straight headed into Tuesday's contest, but Justina Cichos didn't let it get to six. The Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes walked away with a 41-31 victory over the Platte Canyon Huskies on Tuesday with plenty of help from Cichos, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 22 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (eight).

Aubrey Cichos was another key player, putting up six points and 12 rebounds. She has become a key player for Bishop Machebeuf: the team is 2-1 when she posts at least ten boards, but 4-12 otherwise.

Emma Flores and Kadence Pietro certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Flores dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Pietro posted six points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Bishop Machebeuf's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Platte Canyon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Bishop Machebeuf didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-37 victory against Estes Park on the 21st. As for Platte Canyon, they have also already played their next contest, a 62-10 loss against Jefferson Academy on the 27th.
