Basketball Recap: Knox Central Comes Up Short

If Knox Central was feeling good fresh off their 83-38 takedown of Lynn Camp last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knox Central Panthers fell to the Pineville Mountain Lions 76-71. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mountain Lions earlier this season, when they won 98-84.

Knox Central's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 20-6. As for Pineville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Knox Central nor Pineville have any future games scheduled.
