With a playoff win on the line, Redwood rose to the challenge on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Giants who were credited with the victory. The Redwood Giants got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Acalanes Dons's four. For Redwood, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win Acalanes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2025.

The victory got Redwood back to even at 7-7-4. As for Acalanes, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10-6.

Looking ahead, Redwood will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Pittsburg at 3:30 p.m. Pittsburg's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Acalanes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
